Van dropped this off on twitter via his tumblr yesterday to much fanfare... I posted it myself on my own blog almost immediately after he dropped it and I must say, Vandalyzm did his thing on this one! Big Sean may have to re-up on his version if he plans on putting it on anything he hopes to sell... Every joint from this guy keeps getting better, if you haven't heard me telling you the other 10000 times before listen to Vandalyzm! Download his music! Follow him on twitter! He's that dude and I'm glad to know him. His Megatron Majorz/Redux album also drops within the next week or two so you should make sure to cop that as well.

A little while back I saw Double 0 tweeting about mixing some records with Nina Sky and I was kinda curious what would come of it. Well it appears as if the Twins have collaborated with the Kidz as Natalie, Nicole and Naledge rock out over a Double 0 production titled Only You Take Me away. This will appear on the duo's upcoming EP The Other Side.

I hadn't heard from Fooch in a while until this morning when he dropped a long awaited rhyme off of his upcoming mixtape which is untitled so far. The Return has Fooch spitting over the Just Blaze instrumental for Jay Electronica's Exhibit C about being on the road with his band and now his return to the booth. Fooch is a monster on the track, so check this out and give it a download.
After months of hard work and leaked tracks Vic Spencer and Sulaiman have finally released We're Just Disappointed. Originally this project started as an EP and expanded to well over 20 songs, now the duo has trimmed the fat and provided you with a concise 13 song project. Mixed by the multitalented Nick Castle the final product which is We're Just Disappointed will not leave you feeling like its namesake. Track List and download after the jump, but first some words from Sulaiman...
Blind I For The Kids in association with Brainiac Society present the collaborative effort from Blind I/Treated/Phedz affiliate Sulaiman and Brainiac Society’s Vic Spencer entitled ‘We’re Just Disappointed’.The project is a lyrical embodiment of the frustration stemming from two outliers navigating a realm of scene hoes, wack rappers, janky promoters, anonymous blog commenters, and all-around bitchassness. They’ve seen what the status quo has to offer, and frankly, they’re Just Disappointed.
With stellar production from M. Stacks, Black Spade, Statik Selektah, Constrobuz, NAMELESS, Nez & Rio, Maja 7th, Beat Maker Beat, and features from Naledge of Kidz In The Hall, Simeon of The Primeridian, Alex P. Keaton, D2G, Yung Word Mann, and Gzus Piece, Vic & Sulaiman are able to vividly depict the definition of Disappointment in a manner that everyone can relate to.
13 tracks of dope shit, tailor made to make a change by actually BEING the change.
Suli & Vic let one last song fly before they release We're Just Disappointed. If you haven't kept track of all the other leaks from the #disappointed project skim the archives and dig em up. The project itself is going to be quite amazing and I can't wait for y'all to hear it, these guys really worked hard to make sure nothing was less than great quality music.
Words from Suli regarding the project's progress
When you go to get a nice steak from a fancy restaurant, don't you sit with patience until it's cooked just right? If everyone hit the gas before the light turned green, we'd all be somedead motherf*ckers now wouldn't we? Vic Spencer & I have been working diligently at theWe're Just Disappointed project, so it goes without saying that to release it prematurely, without a proper mix we can stand behind, would not only ruin the project, but diminish our integrity as a whole. So while we work out the last few kinks of the final mix before it's ready for release, here's another free joint to hold you over. Smoke something, chillax, and get ready....
The youngest memeber of the Brainiac Society has delivered his first project, an EP titled Straight Up. This released yesterday as a Ruby Hornet exclusive, so I decieded I’d let it breathe a day before posting. Vic is honestly one of the illest rappers I’ve ever met and he’s only 17 years old. Vic is a young Hyde Park resident who’s still attending High School, but when he finds time away from the typical things that consumes a teenager’s life he’s in the booth and creating insane music. Vic is also currently in a band named Kids These Days who’ve performed a number of times in Chicago, most notably at Reggies for the Every Drop Counts Haiti benefit and at the Viaduct opening for Dom Kennedy and Rich Hil. Vic’s raw talent and ability remind me somewhat of the Live at the BBQ Nas, yet he’s drawn some comparisons to Drake and I think he sounds somewhat like Blu, yet I’ll let you make your own judgements… Enter the Mensa
New shit from Naledge, produced by Tony Baines... I'll let the people at WIMH explain this joint seeing as though it's a leak from their mixtape...
As I’m sure most of you have heard by now, we here at WIMH are gearing up to release our first exclusive mixtape,WIMH The Mixtape Vol. 1on June 22nd! A lot of hard work was put into the creation of this project, and we really hope you guys enjoy what we were able to put together, because when it’s all said and done, we did this project for YOU! It’s amazing how many artists showed such a high level of support for this project, we would like to thank them all! This project will feature unreleased/exclusive material from some of the artists that have shown us support over the last year and half. Some artists include Freddie Gibbs, BJ The Chicago Kid, Naledge (from Kidz In The Hall), Add-2, YP, Agacee, Rockie Fresh, Kida, Neak, Keyel, Andrew Davis II, Brandun Deshay, Doxx, Omen, S-Preme, & more!
With all that being said, here’s the first leak from the mixtape! Our good friend Naledge was generous enough to bless us with an exclusive freestyle for the tape, and he WENT IN!! Check it out…
VI sent me another joint from the Disappointed Lounge that will not actually be on the mixtape/album/ep and this one is titled They Say. Suli kicks off the joint and Vic comes through to do clean-up and addresses his detractors. Keep your ears open, these dudes are really putting out dope material. The two also put on a dope performance at the Dom Kennedy show on Thursday at the Viaduct.
Fooch drops us a new joint for the first time in a minute with Blowin'. The man known as Nick Stylz and Villanova Slim give this joint a little Chicago Do or Die flavor as they rap about choppin down trees.
Brainiac's youngest son is back with The Glory which is just a sample of things to come from this upcoming EP which releases this summer. I originally recieved this in an e-mail from Nez & Rio a week or so ago with the accompanying message "theteamistoostrong.com" Nez was not lying... The Mensanati dropped this on me last night via twitter and it was seemingly intercepted by my homie Drew at Fakeshoredrive (i was gonna post it there anyways!!!) but here it is. Lil Vic and Kids These Days perform 6/10 at the Viaduct as well as Vic Spencer & Sulaiman, Dom Kennedy, Brandon Deshay, GoD Jewels, Rich Hil & Project Mayhem.
Right now all I can offer you is the download our server is tripping and saying we've used all our bandwith, yet when I delete files it won't let me upload... hopefully this will be fixed shortly, you can get the stream here... Contraband
