Air Jordan 13 White/Red Sneaker
Uristocrat reports the release of the original Air Jordan 13 sneakers for 2010. December 2010 will once again be another big month for Jordan sneakers. Last year, we saw the Jordan Space Jams released and this year we will see another exclusive colorway. The release of the Air Jordan 13s in white and red. This is in addition to the Air Jordan 11 Cool Grey sneakers that we announced earlier last month as the Air Jordan Retro 11 Snakeskins.

Air Jordan 2010 Silver Anniversary: UNC, Georgetown, Cal PEs & Uniforms

Dwayne Wade broke out the metallic silver Air Jordan 2010 anniversary sneakers at the NBA All Star game two weeks ago. Well, UNC, also celebrated Jordans 25 year anniversary by wearing the special edition sneaker as well as matching silver and white alternate uniforms for the event. Unfortunately changing the uniform color did not help on the court as UNC continues its disappointing season with a loss to Florida State.

Check out the Gallery which also features looks at the Georgetown and California Air Jordan silver anniversary silver and white alternate uniforms.

Uristocrat Power Rankings: February 23rd Edition, Tiger Woods, Philly 360, Supreme, NBA Trade Deadline and More

Labels: Uristocrat

Check out this weeks Power Rankings which features Tiger Woods, Philly 360, Lil Wayne, the NBA trade deadline and more. Let us know what you think in the comments if you agree or disagree with this list. Make sure you check out past Power Rankings here.

1.  Tiger Woods – Tiger finally made a public appearance last week.  In typical Tiger fashion, he gave cryptic statements and wasted our time.  Hopefully he’ll visit Uristocrat and read this article before his next apology.

2.   Lent – Once again, lent has arrived.  What are you giving up?  We suggest you give up visiting wack websites and spend more time here.

3.   XXL Freshmen Class 2010 – For the second year in a row, XXL has tabbed a freshman class of up and coming MC’s.  This year’s class includes Uristocrat favorites Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean and J. Cole.  Hopefully the Class of 2010 will fair better than the Class of 2009, which was ultimately a disappointment.

4. Olympics – So the 2010 Winter Olympics finally had a signature event – the US men’s hockey team’s upset of Team Canada in the opening round.  Of course, it was on MSNBC, meaning it wasn’t in HD for a lot of us and wasn’t available at all to those without cable (my grandmother and like 20 other people).  Even when its right, NBC manages to get it wrong.

5.  How to Make it in America – Reviews seem mostly positive about HBO’s latest show aimed at young males, “How to Make it in America.”  While it doesn’t seem like it will become the next Entourage, it maybe serve as a sufficient fill in, until it (or Curb Your Enthusiasm) returns from hiatus.

6.  Supreme 2010 Summer Collection – Check out Supreme’s 2010 Summer Collection here.  Dropping in the NY and LA stores March 4th, they’ve once again managed to stay ahead of the curve.

7. Philly 360: Philly 360 unveiled its 2010 creative ambassadors and its a great list featuring the likes of Ursula Rucker, Writtenhouse, Nikki Jean, Marsha Ambrosius and more. Make sure you check out the complete listing here.

8.  Obamas Health Care Summit – President Obama is having a health care summit this week to try to jumpstart the fading movement to reform health care.  I hope he president succeeds, but the way Congress has been moving, I have a feeling I’ll be eligible for Medicare by time they get any real reform done.

9.   Weezey shoots 9 videos – Rumor has it Weezey shot 9 videos over the weekend to help him stay hot while he’s in jail.  This is a great idea, as some of the recent artist who have gone to jail haven’t really done a lot to keep their name on the streets.  Unless, he shot those videos for Rebirth, then it’s just a waste of time.

10. NBA Trade Deadline – Last week was one of the more active trade deadlines in many years. The Cavs made the biggest move by picking up Antawn Jamison, followed by New York dumping a crap load of salary, giving them the ability to sign two major free agents this offseason and picking up T-Mac in the process. Desperate to keep LeBron happy, Cleveland was aided by their former playoff rival’s fire sale. I think the biggest question now that the dust has settled is if the Wizards are having open tryouts. This might be my only chance to make the league.

Congratulations Pill!

I'd like to congratulate the homie Pill on being one of the 4 CONFIRMED artists to grace the XXL Freshman 10 cover for 2010. Here's a video from MTV highlighting the 4 who've been confirmed so far. Last year Kidz in the Hall was honored to be one of the groups XXL picked as next and although we weren't on the cover of the magazine it was still a great achievement. (Click through for video)

Naledge

Hey guys,

This year I have told myself that I would like to spend time spreading positive vibes and love toward those who project that same energy toward me. Although this would seem to be a daunting task given the trappings my lifestyle has led me in the past, I believe that until I cleanse myself of the the negative energy I have had within, I won't be able to begin my journey toward finding my own mental freedom and internal joy. Growing up a baseball fan and player, I developed a lot of quirky superstitions that dealt creating a patterns of ensuring positive routines give consistent results. As of late, I've started to wonder whether these routines are things we hide behind because they are comfortable or because they are useful? Do people really see me how I see myself or have I just been blind to my own actions? I urge you all to look at your life and wonder if you really have striven to ensure your goals are reached and your happiness fulfilled or are you settling for what your surroundings tell you is above average? Do you project the positive energy to your friends and co workers that you expect back? Are you truly being a partner to your significant other that you want them to be or are you just doing it when convenient? These seem like simple questions but at times I think I've let myself off of the hook with doing 80 percent just because its better than someone one else's 100 percent effort. Well, just because you have convinced yourself that's good enough realize that while you think you are doing just enough to by, you probably will receive 80 percent of the happiness you say you want...piss poor preparation promotes piss poor performance...and piss poor performance promotes pain...prepare to share your love and you will be loved, prepare for your passion to reach new heights and it will propel you there and truly treat others as you would treat yourself....just food for thought. What are some the goals you would like to reach in 2010 and how do you want to get to them? share your stories with me at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  or twitter.com/naledgekidz ...I want to be inspired as much as I want inspire others! Let's try to be the people we look up to..starting today..ok? Naledge: Taxi Cab Confession Blog

Naledge talks grad school applications, finding his love of Hip Hop and the inspiration behind Land of Make Believe in his latest RH blog.

It is interesting how much time flies in New York simply due the fact you have to take the train or a taxi to get where you are going. (I am currently on my way home from a studio session...)

I have definitely enjoyed myself thus far on my trip, but I am strictly focused on getting as much new music done as possible while I have Double O around to take beats from. I am sure people have seen me on twitter commenting on how I had to fall out of love with Hip Hop to fall back in love with my participation in it. Though I never told anyone, I seriously considered falling back from recording and going back to graduate school before the The In Crowd'srelease. I took a lot of the necessary steps but I still felt hollow and unfulfilled when I stopped recording. I came to realize that I hated the "plasticness" of the industry and that I started to equate it with the art itself.

During the making of this new album, I have striven harder than ever to simply make a definitive work that I will enjoy performing for you all, and that will be a real snapshot that will stand the test of time. I think a lot of people take the idea of being an "artist" lightly and confuse it with "con artist". My aim is not to fool you into believing something in order for me to get rich. My aim is to pour my emotions on every song in hopes that you believe in me enough to support my habit of creation. The best thing that happened to me in 2008 and 2009 is that I saw who was real and who was fake around me. In the process of that I saw who I was and what I am made of.

This industry is often no more than a smokescreen for a lot of foul and fake s**t, and with that the title Land of Make Believe was born. This album is the bridge between where I'm at and where I wish to be, in addition to my daily survival in this maze the rap game can be. Just know that when you listen to this new project you are hearing my heart...and the soul of a man who has come along way to bring his art to you and your ears. Victory for our project is a victory for hip hop. Ok..I'm at my stop. Talk to you guys later...lol

What I Just Read: The Winners Manual

Labels: Naledge

The Winners Manual

Given that the new year often lends to a period of self evaluation, reflection, and re-organization of one's life, I figured that I would lend a helping hand to those that visit our site.  Around the time of my birthday in September, my mother gave me a book called, "The Winners Manual" by Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel.  I can't lie about my initial eagerness to actually make my way through the book.  Since my mother actually attended Ohio State, I thought it was something she bought for me more as a memento then something she actually wanted me to study and use in my everyday life.  Still during some down time on the road with Warren G, I decided to see what the book was talking about.

Tressel's Winner's Manual is a truncated version of a thick binder that is given to Ohio State football players every year as a way of motivating and structuring them toward meeting individual and team goals, both on and off the field.  Tressel's "Big O of Life" serves as the center of this manual.  He calls his "O" the circle of life of which there are for divisions: professional, spiritual, family/relationships and health/fitness.  Unlike most novels, (and more like most textbooks) there are are actual assignments given by the coach to complete after each chapter.

Although some would think that this is quite tedious and repetitive, Tressel believes it is discipline and focus that breeds the type of excellence his players achieve and is a firm believer though he is a great guide, he can't do the work for you....I think it is a great read for those who REALLY are trying to organize their lives and aren't just walking the walk because it just turned January 1st....But if you don't believe me..go see Terrell Pryor and ask him...or AJ Hawk ...or Troy Smith or...Beanie Wells...or Maurice Clarett....well maybe not Maurice but you get the point...

Under The Influence... Tequila Uno

Normally, "Under the Influence" is about something I have actually tried or tasted.  Still, I'm placing bets that before new years eve of next year I will have consumed Tequilla Uno..no pun intended..but it's a no-brainer.... check it
